Pours a medium straw with a thin head. There is a negligible amount of effervescence in the glass.The nose is slightly walnutty and oaty - interesting in a lager. There's not a lot of life on the tongue which is a refreshing change to some of the over-carbonated lagers I've had recently.
The lack of fizz allows a pleasantly pale maltiness with a touch of citrus, ginger and lingering light hop bitterness to come through.
A nicely layered, well balanced, flavourful lager that seems to break the stereotype.
The ginger pops its head up again on the burp too.
